The Getting Whipped Lesson: Manchester United 8 Arsenal 2

Manchester United KO-ed Arsenal in an impressive display of class, whipping up 8 goals against 2 and causing major nosebleeds to anything with Arsenal name on it! This is the getting whipped lesson from Manchester United to Arsenal. All the other clubs out there… be afraid. Be very afraid. Hehe

Unfortunately I did not get to watch the whole match. My TV went blank just as we were in the 45′ + added time. Then few seconds later, heavy rain came pouring down. Arrghhh ASTRO!!!! I relied on Soccernet for the 2nd half live gamecast. Celebrating goals in front of computer is no fun. Then just went the game was over, my TV came to life again. I watched the goals highlights and that’s it, TV went blank again. Hahahaha Some sort of a miracle.

The highlights of the Manchester United – Arsenal match are of course the goals but I’m equally impressed with this new found energy that Sir Alex has put together. The passing shots, great run in from the young lads (Ashley Young, Danny Welbeck, Chris Smalling, Tom Cleverley, Phil Jones) and a getting good-to-better Anderson, suddenly I don’t miss Giggs, Ferdinand or Vidic. And what-d’ya-know? De Gea saving a penalty shot? I actually gave him zero chance on that. 😛

All the 8 goals scored were Super A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Welbeck’s header goal started it all. Nani’s goal is what I called ‘shame on you Arsenal’ goal. Haha And Park super shot… WOW. He never fails to impress me. Last but not least Rooney’s hat-trick. Really man the slimmer body is doing him good.

My favorite though is Young’s first goal. Something like the one Rooney put in when he was in Everton shirt against Arsenal, ending their unbeaten streak.

What about you? Which is your favorite?

Final score:

28th August 2011, Old Trafford
Manchester United (8) – Welbeck (22), Young (28, 90), Rooney (41, 64, 82), Nani (67), Park (70)

Arsenal (2) – Walcott (45), Van Persie (74)

I am an Arsenal fan, not big but chronic.
It was a disappointing moment but I do have to say MU played far too well this season. I can’t wait for the decade when Fergie’s gone… Hmmm…

Good news is Wenger bought some new players. Let’s see how far Arsenal can go this season.

I’m still wary of our new keeper. Will he help us or break us. Haha I actually look forward to the days when ManUtd is Fergie-less… not that I don’t like him. He’s the BEST of the best. I’m just curious how United will fare in the Fergie-less era.

Hey, you were lucky to watch the first half. My tv screen went grainy starting from beginning till end. I didn’t get to watch a single goal thanks to ASTRO! Luckily, I got to see all 5 goals last weekend against Bolton.

I didn’t get to watch last weekend’s goals. Slept early. Haha Need to catch the highlights later.

Hopefully the weather is nice this weekend (ManUtd v Chelsea) or else I’m gonna kill ASTRO!
