Chester

Hello Hematoma!

1 1/2 half year after discovering hematoma (broken blood vessel) at Chester’s right ear and 2 surgeries later… sad sad… I found a new hematoma at his left ear today. Ouch!!!

I really have no idea. He’s not suffering from any ear mites. So how come his left ear can swell up like that. Aiyoooyoyoyo.

Can you see the swelling?

I found an article saying that if you massage the ear gently few times with warm wet towel, the ear will go back to normal. So I’m trying this out for 3 days. If it’s still there then I’ll bring Chester to the vet on the weekend. I just don’t want him to have another surgery. Kills me to see him suffer after that. I can still remember his breathing after waking up from the first surgery. It’s like hearing his heart’s aorta open and close through his breathing.

Wish us luck! πŸ™‚

    Alamak… Poor Chester…

Snoopy seems to be suffering from an old skin problem which causes her to have some fur missing. Looks like Snoopy needs to visit the vet soon again.

    Hope Chester gets well soon!

Awwww, poor boy. Yes, I hope the warm towel massages will help. It’s allergy season for Ranger – itching and tearing and trips to the vet.

    Tekkaus, yeah. No pain though.

Angie Tan, remember my dog had malassezia infection not long ago? After that problem solved, he grows a lot of chest hair. Haha

Hope everything’s fine with Snoopy too ya.

Dawn, ohh I hate the itchy thingy. Scratch non-stop. Normally Chester will stop scratching after taking bath with Malaseb. Tick season is here at my place. I suspect it’s from the neighbor’s dog. Aiyah.

Oh no not again! Poor Chester. It could be a genetic thing. Maybe one of hs parents or ancestors had it.

Amber-Mae, I don’t think it’s heredity. Blame it on his owner (ME) for not taking care of him well enough. πŸ™

Bengbeng, yeah if no choice then surgery. I’m worry his heart cannot take it because he panted like ‘wanna die’ like that after waking up from the anesthesia last time. Plus if the warm water thing doesn’t work there is another choice that is to extract the blood out without surgery (using syringe I think) but that won’t guarantee 100%. The hematoma might come back again.

Benghui, I just played fetch with Chester. Using empty kitchen paper roll. He loves it. πŸ™‚
