Meteor Garden I, II, Hana Yori Dango trilogy and Boys Over Flowers (Korean drama) (’em being listed in chronology order) were adapted from the famous Japanese shojo manga series, 花より男子 Hana Yori Dango (literally being translated as Dumplings Over Flowers) or Boys Over Flowers. This manga series was written by Yoko Kamio, running from October 1992 to September 2003 + 2008 and spanning 37 volumes in total plus a special one-shot story in July 2006.

After I got addicted to Boys Over Flowers (Korean drama), I went looking for its online manga. Then after I completed the manga, I thought why not watch the Japanese version of Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flowers) since it’s only 20 episodes + 1 film in total. So yes I’ve watched the Japanese version hmm like 2 weeks ago. Kekeke
Tsk… I don’t think I will watch Meteor Garden, Taiwanese version and the first one to adapt HYD into TV drama because there are a total of 50 episodes!!! (siao meh) But then do you know they also have Hana Yori Dango anime? That’s 51 episodes. Each episode probably wouldn’t run for an hour long. *tempting* This anime is going to be hard to find since it was released in 1996-1997.
Beware: Long post ahead and many eye-candy photos.
My peaceful world was turned upside down recently. It was just a drama. But one that is so good that it make me stop what I’m doing and just concentrate 100% on it. Suddenly CityVille seems not so important anymore. Hahaha
Boys Over Flowers (꽃보다 남자/Kkotboda Namja) was the name of the Korean drama. This drama was first broadcasted in early January of 2009. I vaguely heard about it and even saw the poster in some sites but the thought of watching it was never in my mind. Why?
