Samsung Galaxy S3 – My 9th Handphone

Just when the news hit that Samsung Galaxy S4 has arrived our shore, I knew it’s time. But still not the right time as my old BlackBerry is still functional. Well, until that fateful day when I let loose of the phone and everything ended there.

So I bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 in white! Oh you read correct and it’s not a typo mistake. 🙂 S4 is just not within my budget because I refuse to pay so much for a phone. Hahaha Of course owning the latest phone is a nice feeling. Galaxy S3 suit me perfectly fine in the wallet since I know it’s going to get a price drop after S4 came in. Hehehe

My Miracle Handphone Story

I was at home whole day on Wesak Day. Funny thing is my handphone is in my pocket the whole time. Reminded myself a couple of times to remove it but lupa. Then bathing time comes… I only realize N6060 babe is still in my pocket while undoing my pants. Carefully I place her on the rail amongst my clothes.

I refuse to ask someone to come and get my handphone knowing I will get a ‘Why you bring your handphone to the bathroom?’ lecture.

Swish swash swooch… goes my shower. Of course I still remember my handphone after the holy wash. ‘CAREFUL’ is in my head all the time. Unfortunately I lose to CAREFUL. The moment I remove my pants from the railing, I can hear ‘PLOOOP’ and a loud shriek “ARGGGGHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOoooo!” and one second later a large hurricane of panic voices outside my bathroom door. “What happen?”… “Why are you shouting?”

My New Handphone

Continuation from yesterday’s post on Handphones Down Memory Lane. A reminiscence of my ALL 6 previous handphones.

Next, I decided to fork out some $$ to get another handphone so I bought a new handphone (7th handphone since… umphhh 2000) last weekend. No no nothing to cheer about. It is just a low end model with no camera, no bluetooth, no 3G, no USB… no whatsoever ‘changgih’ techno. I figured I wanted a simple handphone because all I ever use for is calling and receiving calls and messages plus I already have a digi cam ma. But for my next handphone I plan to own a 3.5G or 4G handphone with those state of the art technology. Which means it will take quite a while la since 3.5G and above are not available here yet.

Handphones Down Memory Lane

I’m listing down the 6 handphones that I have used so far and the tragedy that struck them that bring them to their demised. Ouchh!

My first handphone was NOKIA 3210. This model was announced in 1999. I bought mine in 2000 with a RM1k price tag. It comes with a nice design but it was damn heavy. This handphone went down the toilet hole during one of my shopping trip visit to the loo. I used a plastic bag to fish out the handphone. Ewwwww… can’t power up the handphone after that even after I dried it. With all those acid/alkali stuff in that hole, I doubt it can be operative again. My fault for wearing a large pocket trousers. From then on, my dad keep reminding (babbling) me to always put my handphone in a save place before I do my business.
