Today is our last 1/4 day in Paris. In the morning we went shopping at BHV (Bazar de l’Hôtel de Ville), another famous department store which is located just a block away from our hotel. We spent most of our time at the household department browsing through the pots, plates, baking items, etc. Then we head to Boulangerie Julien again (the one we went to on our first day in Paris) to sample one last time its super delicious roule pistachio chocolate (pistachio chocolate rolls) €1.70 and palmiers €1.80. Then it’s back to hotel to pack up and leave. Tell you what, only in Paris hotel you can smell the delicious freshly baked croissant. I dunno why. I’m guessing the hotel restaurant bake their own croissant. LOL

Our next and final destination is back to London via Eurostar. Although our train will depart at 2.40pm we head to Gare du Nord (railway station) around 11.30am (about 3 hours earlier) since it’s better to be early than late. You’ll never know what gonna happened like any mishap that will delay your journey. We spent our free time lepak-ing at the railway station. Haha

Tsk… photos are mostly about tennis – my love. Hehe

Yes yes breakfast is yet again homemade. They are too good to resist. We took off at 9.15am and reached Porte d’Auteuil Metro before 10.10am. Where’s our destination? ROLAND GARROS!!!

It is every tennis fans dream to visit at least one Grand Slam event in their lifetime. Mine no doubt is the same. Coming to Paris during the Grand Slam season, of course I wouldn’t put off the chances. Roland Garros is my favorite tournament amongst the 4 Slams (Australian Open being a close 2nd) and though I only attended the qualifying round it was enough to make me a VERY HAPPY girl! Why is Roland Garros my most favorite? It has something to do with Rafael Nadal and the red hot clay!

Once you emerge from the Metro, signage like this will guide you to the stadium.

Remember we went to Monoprix supermarket the night before to buy ingredients for our breakfast?

This is our ‘homemade’ croissant breakfast. Clockwise from left: the very yummy and soft croissants, rocket leaves, mustard, sardines and tomato. Plastic cutlery recycled from MAS flight. Gotta said it’s the best breakfast in Paris! Wohoo!
