Hong Kong Day 3: Prizemart, Liu Ma Kee, Shanghai Street & Best Mart 360

My 2018 Hong Kong travelogue so far:
Hong Kong Day 1: HKIA, First Airbnb & Duk Ling
Hong Kong Day 2: Victoria Peak Garden, Shopping & Sai Ying Pun

Woke up at 7am+ and went out around 9.30am on day 3. We had our breakfast at Australia Dairy Company. I wanted to try the food here for the longest time. Although it is mission accomplished in this visit, I most probably won’t be returning. Click the link to read about it. Very fascinating I tell ya.

After breakfast, we went to the nearby Prizemart. We discovered Prizemart while queening for Kam’s Roast Duck the previous day and decided to drop by one of the nearby branches the next day. So here we are. I went nuts with chocolate because it was so cheap.

Jeonju + Seoul Day 8: Stay In GAM, Hongdae & Ewha Womans University

Today morning on day 8 we will be travelling by train to Seoul. Seoul will be our last destination before we fly back to Malaysia. Mr Lee who is our friendly Buykyungdang Hanok Guesthouse host has booked a taxi for us the previous day. The taxi arrived on time and soon we find ourself at Jeonju Station waiting for our train. Gotta say the taxi took a long detour as this time the ride cost us 6,400 won. Previously when we went to Jeonju Station to buy our train tickets, the taxi ride only cost us 5,400 won & 6,000 won. Anyway, we choose to go to Seoul by train because we’ve tried buses before and because we wanted to experience the KTX.

KTX train from Jeonju to Yongsan Station, Seoul arrived at Jeonju Station on time at 8.49am.

From My Experience: Shanghai Travel Tips

A little bit of this and that from my experience in Shanghai, I present you some travel tips.

1. Essential app for Shanghai metro map: Explore Shanghai Metro Map

This Explore Shanghai Metro Map app is necessary if you’re to explore Shanghai by metro. What I like most about this app is that it’s simple enough and it shows me the key points which I want to know; cost, duration, metro line number and number of stops.

Siem Reap Day 3: Bayon, Angkor Thom, Blue Pumpkin, Old Market (Phsar Chas) & Angkor Night Market (Part 2)

Here’s Day 1 to Day 3’s recap:
Siem Reap Day 1: Khmer Kitchen Restaurant & Artisans d’Angkor (Part 1)
Siem Reap Day 1: Angkor Temples – Preah Khan & South Gate & North Gate of Angkor Thom (Part 2)
Siem Reap Day 2: Center Market (Phsar Kandal) & Red Piano
Siem Reap Day 3: Angkor Wat & Ta Prohm (Part 1)

After Ta Prohm, I still have to make one more stop even though it’s urgghhh SCORCHING HOT!!! There is no way I’m going to miss the beautiful Bayon temple.

On the way to Angkor Thom (that’s where Bayon lies), we passed Ta Keo again. Here’s a snap shot of it from the moving tuk-tuk.

Don’t bother visit Ta Keo if you are pressed for time. This temple lacks carvings and the steps are more dangerous than those found in Angkor Wat.
