Brickfields’ Little India

After my brief ‘wish come true’ visit to Vivekananda Ashrama, I proceed further down the road for more discovery.

Here are some short snippets of Brickfields’ Little India.

This beautiful fountain is situated at the junction of Jalan Tun Sambanthan and Jalan Travers.

Little India of Brickfields.
I did not explore this part as my stomach was calling. Had a nice dinner at the nearby Sin Kee Restaurant after that.

Tiled road with kolam design. How cool is that?

There is a row of flower stalls just opposite the fountain selling flower garlands for Hindu praying/festival.

This lady is weaving jasmine/melur flower into a garland. I stood there long enough to see how it was done.

Tiled sidewalk.

Flower garlands. Lovely!

That’s pretty much it. Hope you find this small part of Little India colorful and interesting.

Wow, what a lovely part of Malaysia.
The first shot is definitely a metro-bohemian rhapsody!

Very nice shots of Little India. It reminds me of Belfield Street in Ipoh, Indian shops selling spices, garland flowers, jewelry, sarees, etc.
