Dream Trip to Macau

I’m submitting this post for a chance to win a 3D2N all expenses paid holiday courtesy of Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO). Thanks Nuffnang Malaysia for organizing this contest.

I visited Macau 7 years ago on a 1D1N trip. Ever since then I’ve been longing to go back to Macau because my short 24 hours stint there just wasn’t enough. I didn’t want to board the plane when it was time to bid goodbye to Macau and I promised myself I will come back again. Although it was a short visit and it was my first time there, Macau had me at hello. I fell in love with the culture, people and food.

Some of my favorite photos from my 2007 Macau trip:

The three most amazing things that make me want to visit Macau again are:

Drum rolls please…

1. Portuguese egg tart.
Oh baby the mention of this food make my mouth water. Who can deny this crispy puff pastry crust with rich custard egg filling and slightly caramelized top? Not me! It can’t be any Portuguese egg tart though. It has got to be Lord Stow’s egg tart. I would love to visit his original shop at Coloane. My dream is to savor the delicious egg tarts while strolling along the beautiful streets of Coloane and chatting with the locals.

2. Attend Macanese cooking class.
Ever since I tasted my first ever Portuguese food at A Lorcha in Macau (which is heavenly by the way), I’ve been dreaming of going back there for another round. Since I’m a foodie and a traveler, it would be so cool to enroll in a Macanese cooking class to learn about Macanese cuisine which is the marriage of Chinese and Portuguese cuisines. It’s one of way to learn more about Macau’s culture.

3. Bungy jumping at Macau Tower.
One of the things in my bucket list is to bungy jump. Oh yeah, I’m an adrenaline junkie alright! And to jump off from the highest bungy in the world at the Macau Tower will be sweet and wild. Oh imagine… the nerve-wrecking moment before the jump and that adrenaline rush gushing through you after you’ve made it. Ahh the thrills!

Macau Government Tourist Office and Nuffnang should send me to Macau because

I ♥ MACAU!!!

Please help me realize my dream to visit Macau again so that I can indulge in this 3 things and many more! After all Macau is all about touching moments!

Good luck, Amy! I would like to visit Macau someday….i always heard about their famous Portugese egg tarts also.

And bungy jumping…I will do it too. The adrenalin rush I had from sky diving was addictive! I think bungy jumping is much more scarier 🙂

Good luck to you! I want to taste that Portuguese egg tart too! I did not go Macau last time I visited Hong Kong as my travel partner could not endure seasick taking the ferry. Maybe next time! 🙂

Ahhh Macau! Reminds me of my 1 day tour to Macau too in 2012. Weather was freaking cold and misty like Genting Highlands when I visited in March! 😀
