A little away from Gibson Step is the turning to Princetown Road (C166). That’s the start of our inland journey home.

Amazing ya!

We saw lots of sheep, cows and some horses.
All in all it was a pleasant drive. Straight-forward with infinite greenery and hills.

About 20 minutes later we reached Apostles Whey Cheese (hand-made cheese, free cheese tasting).

Welcome. Through to cheese tastings & great views.
OH YEAH!!!

We were shown a little of the cheese making process (via the window on the left) and then it’s cheese tasting time. It was a yummylicious session and we bought a couple cheese back with us.

Then it was time to soak in the views before continuing our journey. That’s the first and last Australian flag that I saw throughout my trip here. Haha

A Loch Ness look alike? It’s a cute water tank.

Lovely blue flower at Apostle Whey Cheese garden.

Address:
Apostle Whey Cheese
9 Gallum Road, Cooriemungle,
Victoria 3268, Australia
10am – 5pm, 7 days a week

Then to more views like this… ahhhh

50 minutes after leaving the cheese ‘factory’ we reached Colac, a town with 11,000 population.

This town reminds me of the American cowboy town. Haha

We ‘tapau-ed’ KFC Fiery Chicken Wrap for lunch. Wanted to tried some other foods but none excited us. So we choose KFC since we’ve not tried Australian KFC yet. Well it was fiery alright! Gotta tapau as we were running out of time (was 2.30pm when we had our lunch).

So while one was driving, another one eating…

We passed a couple of cute shops at Winchelsea. The Vault is a leather goods shop.

This is formerly Winchelsea Shire Hall.

This is formerly Winchelsea Public Library. Now as visitor centre.

Ahhh yellow flowers along Princes Highway.

Wish I can run in there and lie down. Hahaha

Love the greens!

Hello cow-cow!

Straight road… still we follow speed limit. πŸ™‚

Oh yeah gotta have a shot like this… memory.

Hi ya! Sis is driving while me? enjoying the views!

Bird ‘V’ formation. Very cool! And a ranch by the highway.

At 3.30pm we reached Geelong, a port city 1/2 hour drive from Melbourne.

This is the housing area in Geelong. We used GPS to navigate here.

Somewhere in Geelong…

So why did we stop here? We’re staying the night in Geelong. I will show you our accommodation in the next post.

Time taken from Princetown Road To Geelong (via C166, C163, A1) @ Victoria is 3 hours.

Hehehe not bad ya? If we come back via Great Ocean Road itself… well maybe it will be night fall already. πŸ˜›

To be continued…
