Dulux, Are You Kidding Me?

I’m in the midst of painting my bedroom and work room before Chinese New Year come. Mom’s nagging was the reason. Haha The last time I had my rooms painted were way back in secondary school days which was more than a decade ago.

It took me and sis (yup just the two of us) 3 days (2 weekends) to finished painting our bedroom.
Day 1 – patch up holes and cracks + paint ceiling (2 coats)
Day 2 – paint ceiling (3rd coats) + paint 2 walls (2 coats)
Day 3 – paint remaining 2 walls (2 coats)

Our muscles aches like crazily on day 1 and the next day. It reminds me of the days when I was really sick. Luckily we felt okay for the rest of the painting days. Guess our muscles have toughen up.

Of course we did consider hiring people to paint the room for us but in the end we choose to DIY ourself. Why? Coz it feels good to do things our own. And coz making memory is fun.

For the work room, we’ll start the painting on the Christmas week. 3 more days of agony! Wish us luck. I really need all the luck we can get coz there’re so much rubbish and furniture and books and cabinets to take out.

Now on to the actual ranting.

First take a look at below picture. On the left is the new wall color and on the right is Dulux’s paint color chart. Now could you tell me which one matches the new wall color?

NONE right?

We choose Penelope Pink actually which gives a very light hint of pink but the actual wall color is WHITE. *SPEECHLESS*

All I wanna say to Dulux is: Are you kidding me???
